The End!!!!

This is my mom's last day of Chemo. I'm pretty glad about that.

She said her friend gave her a card and candy, and a lady came and played a guitar and sang some "healing music", and the nurses sang the halellujah chorus. Pretty much it was the best Chemo ever.

I think it might have been even without all that stuff 'cuz it was the LAST.

"There are some, down the road
between hither and yon, that can scare
you so much you won't want to go on."

But on you will go though the weather
be foul. On you will go though your
enemies prowl. On you will go though
the Hakken-Kraks howl. Onward
up many a frightening creek,
though your arms may get sore
and your sneakers may leak.

On and on you will hike.
And I know you'll hike far and
face up to your problems
whatever they are.

(From Dr Seuss' "Oh, the Places You'll Go" Page 14 & 15)

Way to go, Mom. Keep going!

You're off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting.
So, get on your way!

Happy Birthday to Mo-om...

Way to have another birthday, Mom. Love ya!
Psalm 100

A Psalm of Thanksgiving.

1 Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!
2 Serve the LORD with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
3 Know that the LORD, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;[a]
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
5 For the LORD is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.

Yay!

We got our new camera today!

Abe totally had to track down the mail lady for it, but he got it.

Expect many beautiful pictures of two amazing children!

Workin' in the Kitchen

The kids are playing together in the kitchen. Come on in...

"I'll wash my hands. I have to do some cookin'."

"Turn up the heat."

"Thanks, sis, I was hungry."

"Huh. Maybe this side is better."

"Uh, you might want to check the recipe on this one, sis..."

(Abe just got us a new camera, so hopefully soon we'll be able to catch some good pictures of the girlie. She's been too busy lately, and our camera is way to slow to catch her without being blurry. We're so excited about it!)

Wood Anniversary

Tomorrow.

Keeping the Schedule

I need to get back in gear! Tomorrow is Friday and my whole week has flown by without much productivity.

Man. Hate it when that happens...

The girlie and Abe were last week. Abe is totally short at work and couldn't take anytime off. He was even working much more than normal, so it seemed to take him a bit longer than normal to get better. (Thankfully, he didn't seem to spread too many germs around. No one else has gotten sick since then.) Baby boy and I stayed well, so Praise the Lord for that! Monday was our first day semi-back-to-normal day, and Wednesday we went to church. Theona had been up all night throwing up the Wednesday night the week before (Our FIRST experience with this), so it took us about a week to recover.

Oh, and Abe had his birthday somewhere in there, and we didn't even really celebrate.

Anyway, I'm so glad we're done with that. I was happy to get some things done today. I cleaned the kitchen, did a bunch of laundry, finished some little chores that had been neglected, and even got some shopping done.

Still, I feel a little thrown off. I didn't realize how attached I've become to my schedule. I like it that way, though.

Yarn Fun

Lately I've been crocheting a lot. I am working on something really fun. (I'll have to share that later) Jecoa likes to help.
It took a while to get that back in a ball...

Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for it is now that God favors what you do. Always be clothed in white, and always anoint your head with oil. Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun— all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom. Ecclesiastes 9:7-10
